Choosing a plastic surgeon is probably the most important aspect of having plastic surgery.
The first step is to find a plastic surgeon who has the right training and credentials. I attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Afterwards, I completed my plastic surgery training at The Ohio State University Medical Center, which involved specific training in plastic surgery and breast reconstruction for cancer patients. It is very important that the surgeon you choose is trained specifically in plastic surgery. Many doctors who perform cosmetic surgery are trained in ENT (Ear Nose and Throat), Dermatology, or other specialties that have nothing to do with plastic surgery. This means that these doctors were not specifically trained to do plastic surgery procedures. I am Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, which means I comply with the national standards for plastic surgery so that I can provide my patients with excellent care and results.
The other vital aspect of choosing a plastic surgeon is finding someone whom you really connect with. You need to be able to fully trust the surgeon that you choose. The surgeon should listen carefully to your needs and wants and understand exactly what you are looking to achieve. You also want someone you feel very comfortable with because you are going to share the parts of you that only those closest to you see. I know the concept of beauty is different for everyone, and I am very careful to tailor your surgery specifically to fit YOU and get you the look you desire!
The next step is simple and exciting, arranging a consultation with me!
During the consultation, I will listen to your concerns and make sure I understand your precise goals. Many people don’t think they are a good candidate for the surgery they desire, but after meeting with me, they find out that they actually are! After your exam, we will discuss what options will help you to attain the face, breasts, or body you have always wanted. For many people, just the thought of pain after surgery is enough to keep them away from a plastic surgeon. I take this seriously and I go to great lengths to make sure you are comfortable during and after your procedure. In my care, patients are very comfortable and the recovery is much easier.
